What do you believe is a good age gap between siblings?

We are planning for baby #3 and our first two have a 7 year age gap!  We want closer this time. Whats everyone’s experience? Please feel free to share anything you love or hate about your age gaps between kids

Any age gap is good! Whatever works best for your family, do that. You'll hear good and bad stories about ever different age gap. Just raise them to be respectful and loving to each other, and everything will be good.

Ours are 16 months apart and I love it. People tell you that 2 under 2 is a nightmare but our experience hasn’t been that at all. I absolutely didn’t want to get one completely through the baby stage and then have to start over. It was nice that our son had an understanding of what was happening but wasn’t to a jealous stage yet. I think it helped him to embrace his little sister a lot more than he would have had he been a bit older. 
Our son is a bit advanced in his development for being 2 so he is able to play independently and not be so reliant upon us; which has helped a lot. They are both in diapers, which doesn’t bother me. Our son isn’t a great sleeper but our daughter is so that has helped as well.

My first two are 19 months apart and there practically best friends already and my second is almost 7 months!! If we plan on having anymore we’re going to have a bigger age gap this time. Probably two or three years apart!
