Last night marked the 3rd day my baby hadn’t pooped. We tried everything. Warm baths, belly massage, moving her legs, white grape juice & prune baby food (dr suggest juice & started her on solids at 4 month visit last week) her acid reflux medicine tends to constipate her and they just moved her up on a higher dosage as well as two times a day. She would be fine one minute then screaming in pain the next. I was bawling! Thankfully my mom and boyfriend (her father) were there with me. I called the nurses advice line for her pediatrician & she recommended pedia-Lax baby suppository. It says 2-4 yrs on it but she said it has no drugs etc in it so they can’t overdose & it looks like a lot but it’s really not. She also recommended dark karosyrup to put in her bottles until she’s going to the restroom consistently & softly. The suppository worked immediately!!! We got the syrup as well & she was so happy after all of that. I just wanted to put this out here in case anyone else’s baby has any bowel problems come up. When using suppository use Vaseline, she even said ky jelly 🤣. Of course this is after she hadn’t pooped for 3 days & we could feel hard #2 down there that was way too large to exit and she was in pain, use when you feel it’s been too long!
