What to expect being induced?

penny

Hi ladies, I’m currently 34 weeks and been have advised I will be Induced at 38 weeks due to being high risk (3 consecutive miscarriages before this pregnancy and high risk for preeclampsia)

I have known from the beginning of my pregnancy that I would be induced so I’ve mentally prepared myself just feeling a little clueless as this will be my first baby. I’m quite chill and understand that there is no point trying to plan my labour I’m just looking more for advice on what to expect.

My worry is I’ve heard being induced can make labour longer and more intense as your body is being forced into labour rather than going naturally which makes sense.

I have been watching youtube videos on Hypnobirthing as I was recommended by a friend but I’m wondering is there anything I can do before hand to maybe soften my cervix or physically prepare my body a little more?

I don’t even know if it’s possible and sorry if I sound silly, I do plan on getting a little more information at my next midwife appointment but hoping some of you may have some info or tips xx
