Average time it takes to get pregnant?

I’ve gotten pregnant once before when I was 18. It definitely wasn’t planned, and due to being in a toxic and abusive relationship at the time I unfortunately ended up getting an abortion at 5 weeks.

Fast forward several years later, I’m finally in a better place (mentally and physically), more mature, and in a healthy long term relationship. We’ve been talking about wanting to start a family, and although we’ve been trying for a couple months- no luck yet..

I know I have an ovarian cyst and get short periods, but could having an abortion in my past cause problems with fertility? Or can it take a few months?

I feel so guilty thinking back on what happened in my past, because I would give anything to have the opportunity to start a family. I hope I didn’t affect my chances...fingers crossed🤞🏻
