VBAC plans?

Question

Any other Mamas planning on a VBAC in April? My provider is really supportive but my
Family is not on board 😕. 
I have been reading the facts and statistics on it, gaining knowledge, getting familiar with all my options. Planning on trying to go in to labor on my own. Does anyone also have a good plan? Does your Doctor have a must induce by date?

Our hospital doesn't allow VBAC due to not having a surgeon on staff at all points of time should things not go as planned. Doc induced me with first two right after 39 weeks as hospital won't allow elective inductions before (doc elected due PIH). Haven't discussed with this one, but currently 31 weeks. Wishing you the best of luck to have a safe and successful  VBAC.

My Dr won't let me go over my due date, but I've measured ahead this whole pregnant and am certain that won't be an issue. I've had one cesarean birth and am quite hopeful for a VBAC. My mother has been pressuring me terribly to have another cesarean and being incredibly passive aggressive. It's frustrating, so I get how you feel. Statistically a VBAC is still safer than repeat cesarean, so that is my plan 🥰

Same here also planning my vbac, my doctor is on board she’s gonna let me try for my vbac. I’m hoping all goes well, I haven’t been offered any induction as of yet and I’m hoping I can go into natural labor.

I have had 2 successful vbac experiences! This will be my 3rd vbac if all goes well. I did have one natural birth prior to my c section baby so my dr knew structurally I could. When I discussed it with my dr the first time one of the points i remember discussing is the reason that c section happened for me it was just simply that i had a complete placenta previa making vaginal delivery unsafe. So depending on your reason for the original c section i think as long as your doctor clears you for tolac I would go for it recovery for me is always easier after a normal delivery. As far as inductions they tend to shy away from inductions with previous c sections because it does increase your chance of uterine rupture because the pitocin contractions are different from natural ones. That being said my last baby was induced due to hypertension and my ob did a gental induction where she very slowly increased pitocin levels and let my body adjust the best we could before making any changes. I would avoid another induction if i can personally. But i would just continue asking your team questions so that you can answer any worries your family might be having etc
