BIG Baby Anyone?

Question

Hello everyone, I am 35 weeks(36 tomorrow) and was told last week at my growth scan that this baby is 8 lbs already. I've never carried a baby this big. My biggest baby was 7 lbs and the others were 6 lbs. I've delivered all my other children naturally but I'm worried that with this pregnancy I will need a C-Section. My due date is March 3. My next ob appt is Feb 14 when I'll be able to talk to my doctor. Has anyone given birth to a big baby before? Did you have a vaginal birth or need a C-Section. It's been 8 years since I've had a baby. All insight is greatly appreciated!

My second, they said he was almost 8 lbs at 36 weeks and he was born at 39+4 weighing 8lbs 9oz. Sometimes the scans can be quite off.

Remember that the weight is an ESTIMATE!  
My youngest was almost 4300g - so around 9lb and 7oz(if I converted it correct) totally uneventful, unproblematic vaginal delivery.

I would never trust weight estimates in the third trimester. My firstborn was 10 pounds and I had a natural birth, so totally doable! Good luck!

I was told with my son who is now 6 weeks old that he was going to be 10lbs by 39 weeks.  I was induced at 38+3 and he was 8lb.  The growth scans are a guess.

🙋🏼‍♀️ big baby mama x2 over here!!! First of all the ultrasound can be off by 2lbs either way. And secondly I gave birth naturally to both my big babies and had no tearing so it’s definitely possible! My first was 8 lbs 11 oz and came 2 weeks early and my second was at term 9 lbs 4 oz. my second baby my epidural didn’t take so I had push that baby out without it. It’s amazing what a women’s body can endure! You got this mama 💪🏼!

My son was 9 lb 4 oz - vaginal birth with epidural and 2 2nd degree tears. They did not expect him to be that big but no complications!

They are usually way off with their estimates. Said my daughter was small and not growing, she was 7lbs. Said my 3rd was really big and he was only 8lbs

My 1st was 11lb 2oz & 23” long. Had vaginal birth and it was uneventful. I remember one of my last appointments one of my drs said while feeling my stomach “oh this is a big boy, he has to be 7 almost 8 pounds.” She was just a bit off lol

My son was born at 37 weeks and I was told by the ultrasound I would be lucky if he was 5 pounds. He was 6 pounds 9 oz

My friends first baby was 11 pounds and pushed out naturally her second was 12 pounds and pushed out naturally her third was 13 and she elected to have a c section. It’s def possible. Do keep in mind ultrasounds are just a guess of weight not 100 percent accurate. They told me my son was 6.8 oz at 35 weeks I had him the next day and was 5.5 oz.
