Late period
So my husband and I are trying to get pregnant. My period is one day late, but so far I haven’t had a positive pregnancy test. I started taking them way too early because I’m excited. I stopped nursing my daughter one week ago, but yesterday I noticed that I’m still producing milk- at least a small amount. I don’t really know if it’s normal to continue to produce milk after being done with breastfeeding.
I don’t remember anything like this happening when I stopped producing milk for my son and I ended up getting pregnant with my daughter before my period returned right after I stopped producing milk for him. I don’t know if I could be pregnant and producing colostrum. Or maybe I was already pregnant when I stopped nursing my daughter and my body decided I would need the milk for my next baby so it didn’t stop producing it? I’m also slightly concerned about getting clogged ducts/ mastitis because I’ve experienced that before and that is no fun.
It was very easy for us to get pregnant with both of our first children, but I’m having lots of anxiety about the possibility of not being able to this time. This is our first month trying for our next baby. I’m hating the waiting game. Any thoughts? Here’s a picture of my two older babies
