Baby Riley

Teiandra

It’s finally my turn to tell my birth story. Nothing, and I do mean nothing went as planned. I went to the dr for my appointment and my blood pressure wouldn’t go down. As a precaution, the oB sent me to the hospital. They decided to admit me and give me some cervidil to induce my labor. From there, I wasn’t making much progress, so they gave me Pitocin. This was all Tuesday, feb 1. Ironically I thought it would be crazy if gave birth to him on 2/2/22. The next day I didn’t make much progress as every time they had me on there, his heart rate went down. I hadn’t progressed much that day, maybe 2 cm, so they broke my water. So the next day, Thursday the 3rd I started having more contractions. They gave me stadol for the pain but it didn’t help the baby’s heart rate. I didn’t want an epidural but the pain started becoming way too intense. Too fast. Worst pain ever. So I got the epidural and got some rest.

Shortly thereafter like 5 nurses and the dr rushed me to the OR for an emergency C-section. The anesthesiologist said it was a good thing I Had already gotten the eoidural, otherwise I would have gotten general and been put to sleep due to the emergent nature. I’m glad I got a healthy baby out of all of it but u know I had to come to terms that everything will not go as planned. In fact almost nothing was.
