Fetal pole but no yolk sac?

I had a little bit of brown spotting last night so I went and got an ultrasound this AM. I’m just about 5 weeks. My u/s showed an intrauterine pregnancy with gestational sac, fetal pole but no yolk sac? Hcg levels are rising well, but I’m worried about the lack of a yolk sac? Everything I’m reading says if I have a fetal pole I should have a yolk sac too :( please any advice!

Who did your ultrasound? If you went to the ER for an early pregnancy u/s, I can almost guarantee you it’s a sloppy read… never a good idea to go to the ER during pregnancy except in an emergency. Pregnancy is not their speciality and they’ll likely have you just follow up with an OB anyway.

How did this go? This is what mine says as well, but they are a OB ER, so I assumed they knew what they were talking about. 
Sorry I thought it would copy and paste but they saw a gestational sac, and fetal pole. But no yolk sac. I’m measuring behind but I kinda figured I would be. But I’ve never heard of this, either and Google doesn’t help lol.

Did the ultrasound tech and/or doc say that there wasn’t a yolk sac? During my first ultrasound, I didn’t even ask about yolk sac because of fetal pole. Afterwards, I was like wait I forgot to ask and didn’t see it in my ultrasound pic. I emailed my doctor and she confirmed that it was there, but it just wasn’t shown in my pic. It may not always show in the same shot as baby.

Too early. I did a transvaginal ultrasound and I was able to see was a sac but no yolk. I was around 4 weeks 6 days. 2 weeks later I was able to see the baby and hear the heartbeat!
