I plan to start tutoring but as of right now, all my PSAT scores have been around 1170-1220 and my gpa is about 3.9. I haven’t done much community service, have not had an official job, and only participate in a sport not affiliated with my school. Pretty much all I got going for me is my artistic talent lol. I’d like to get into a university with a good art program and minor in something writing related, but all the schools I’ve looked at (UChicago, UPenn, Northwestern U, etc) have had acceptance rates of around 6%-9%. I don’t know what to do. I’m starting to give up. I want a great education but on paper, I’m pretty much just mediocre. Should I start lowering my expectations or is it worth the ridiculous application fees?
