Measuring ahead
Ive been measuring 2 to 3 weeks ahead pretty much every appointment since 28 weeks. Today I had my 37 week appointment and I measured 41 the first time then 40 1/2 when she rechecked. She said depending on how I’m measuring at my next appointment which is next Friday I might get another growth scan. I had one at 34 weeks and they estimated that he was 6 pounds 12 oz already and were estimating him to be 10 pounds 2oz at 39 weeks. I realize that it’s only an estimate and it can go a pound or two in either direction my daughter they estimated to be 6 pounds 6oz at 34 weeks and that she would be 10 pounds 4 oz at 39 weeks. She ended up being 9 pounds 10oz at 40 weeks 4 days, but I never measured ahead with her. I’m really hoping to avoid a c-section as I haven’t needed one for my first two. Has anyone measured that far ahead and had a somewhat normal size baby? 😆 My doctor said the only way my delivery plan will change is if he’s over 11 pounds.
