Did you feel immediate relief after having birth?

FTM, still awaiting delivery and this constant pain is such a struggle. Just wondering if anyone felt relief after delivering. I know there may be some aches but I’m assuming it is nothing like this.

Heartburn, hip and back pain, breathlessness, congestion, and just the general feeling of being massive and waddling about were gone right away. Swiftly replaced by nipple pain, upper back pain from breastfeeding, vagina soreness recovering from a few stitches and pushing a baby out, 6 weeks of post natal bleeding, questionable bladder control, hormones all over the place, and uterus shrinking cramps to name a few. But, the worst of it goes within a few weeks and you do start to feel more like yourself again…minus the crippling exhaustion haha.

I remember with my son, right after he was born and I knew he was okay, I turned to my boyfriend and said “I feel so much better now.” I never felt such relief until that moment.

Yes right when baby was out all my symptoms went away. I could breath again. I had a rough end of pregnancy. I obviously was in a ton of pain just having a baby but I felt so good considering just having a baby bc I felt back to normal again. Pain was gone. I could take a full breath. It was seriously incredible.

Yes but it's almost immediately replaced with new symptoms and aches lol. But yeah it's pretty wild. It's a lot of relief knowing that part is over

Mine was different because i had a csection but it is an immediate relief of the pressure and contractions right after baby is born. I had the csection recovery which was very sore for about a week and then has been pretty fine since. But i second the other commenter on how you have a whole other set of symptoms to deal with.
