Hello, this is a stupid question but I’m just curious if anyone knows how Snapchat works.

My boyfriend and I are super bffs on Snapchat (so we’ve been best friends for over two months) we’ve been working a lot lately and haven’t been snapping a lot. And now we’re not bffs anymore. He said it was because we never snap, but he said he only snaps me. I also only snap him…it was my understanding that it’s based on who you snap more. Like if he snaps someone more than me they’ll take my spot but he’s saying if we go a while without snapping we’ll just lose the title…?
