Maiden name as middle name?

We’re thinking about using my maiden name as a middle name for a boy. Has anyone else done this? Only reason I’m hesitant is because I don’t want people to mistake it as a hyphenated last name or anything when they hear it.

I know a girl who gave her son her maiden name as his first name (Cooper). I think it’s sweet! The middle name thing would be nice!

Yep! My son has my maiden name as his middle name. It’s a pretty popular first name at the moment so it worked well. It kinda feels to me a bit like a hyphenated name when I say it, but no one else would know

My sister-in-law (my brother's wife) her maiden name is Fox, so they named their son Nicholas Fox -------. I don't think it'll be mistaken for a hyphenated last name

This was a bit of a tradition in my moms family. To pass on the mothers maiden name to the first daughter.
I did it for mine; maiden name Alexander, daughters middle name is Alexandra.
It doesn’t always work though, my mom did not pass her maiden name to me.
