Making girl friends

Ok so I feel kinda funny writing this. But I am a 30 year old woman who has trouble making girl friends. I am basically friendless. If it weren't for my husband's family or his friends, I wouldn't have a social life. I do have a few of my own friends but we don't seem to connect. I don't like to talk about hair, your nails or where you got your shoes from. All this bores me. I love to joke around, talk about games and embarrassing stories. Where do I find these type of women? A lot of the girls I've known like to compete with each other or want to start drama. I'm too old for this. Any advice? What sort of topics do you bring up when meeting someone new? I'm dying for a girls night out and I don't have much of these.
