Is it okay to ask BF to not talk to me about his ex-girlfirends

Sooo my boyfriend seems to mention his ex girlfriends a lot, he’ll sometimes bring them up in a way that compares his experience with them to his experience with me. Sometimes he’ll just mention things about their lives like if their dating or where they work. I don’t know why but it really makes me upset, I shouldn’t have to hear about his exes. One of the exes is his baby mama so he has to keep in contact for his kids, and I don’t know if it’s worse to ask him to stop talking to me about her?
