Apartment Lease Renewal

Who is supposed to initiate the conversation about apartment lease renewal? I have not heard anything from my leasing office. My one year will be in 2 weeks or less? & I realized my leasing office hasn’t reached out to me. At my last apartment they left a note at my door stating my rent would stay the same and I had the option to do month or month or renew for another year. In my contract for this apartment it does state that I can do month to month after one year, but part of me feels like it’s the leasing office’s job to notify me and ensure we’re on the same page.
