Low AFI ?

I got to know my afi is 8cm at 16 weeks.what can i do to increase it and has anyone had this ? What did you do? Please tell me your story❤️ currently freaking out

It depends on a lot of factors. Try drinking Gatorade or coconut water! I’m currently in the hospital with 2.7cm AFI (I’ll be 36w tomorrow) and there’s nothing more they can do, but I’m not leaking, baby is super healthy, and placenta is still working so we’re staying in until she’s ready to make her appearance!

I had low amniotic fluid with my daughter but it was around 30 weeks. The doctors kept telling me their isn’t anything I can do to increase it. But I figured I would try anything. I increased my water intake by A lot. I did that the whole week before my next appointment and by the next ultrasound the number (I don’t remember exactly what) increased by 4. Which was huge for us. I do know that they don’t panic until the number gets 5 or below. So 8 isn’t terrible but low yes.
