Possible miscarriage?

Question

Went for ultrasound due to bleeding last Friday. Found fetal pole (measuring 5 weeks 5 days) but not heart beat. Also found a subchorionic hematoma which could explain the bleeding. I go back tomorrow to check again for growth and a heart beat. My question is, when you have a miscarriage can the spotting stop and start or is it pretty continuous?

Went for my ultrasound today and found a heartbeat! 104bpm! Still measuring a little smaller than I’d like but MD didn’t seem too worried about that part. SCH still there but no bigger. Go back in 10 days. Doctor said we aren’t out of the woods yet but today was good.

My m/cs started as brown spotting BUT this pregnancy I had brown spotting for a week around 6 weeks and it was a UTI.

5 weeks might be to early for the heart beat and if it’s just spotting I wouldn’t be to worried. I had spotting for weeks and then 1 big bleed worse then a period and am now 15 weeks pregnant and the baby’s healthy and growing perfectly. Being pregnant is a very hard time mentally so small things tend to be a big thing in our mind. I hope this helps and I hope your baby is kicking in there xx
