birth control

okay ladies this may sound weird, but i started birth control the last week. the day i got my period as said on the pack and 8 days later and i’m still bleeding but now sometimes it’s barely any, sometimes it’s brown ish and sometimes it’s simply red it’s not heavy but it’s not stopping either. and i was wondering if anybody might know anything about what this could be. typically my period lasts 5 days nothing more but it’s been 8 of this bleed. i thought my period was done bc i didn’t bleed for a week like at all then this started. i’m just confused and lost at what to do or what it could be! any help would be appreciated
