Braxton Hick contractions?!?!

For those who have Braxton hicks… what exactly do they feel like and and how often do you have them?!?
I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant… This is my 3rd pregnancy but the first time i ever felt these little waves of lower stomach cramps that feel similar to period cramps but honestly a lot less painful than my worst period cramps (that I would get for like the first 2 days of my period)… so its noticeable but not horrible… but I can also say I get them several times throughout the day… I’m wondering if this is normal because it definitely never happened with my other 2 pregnancies…

Braxton hicks for me just felt like my stomach/uterus was getting rock hard. Sometimes it would make my eyes water lol but not pain… the only time I ever felt cramps was when I finally went into labor.

I’ve experienced the same. This is my first baby so naturally I freaked out about these weird cramps, and I had some very light bleeding as well, spoke to my OBGYN and I did go to hospital twice this week for a CTG to check babies heart rate and see if I’m having like proper contractions and it turns out it was just Braxtons hicks, I know most articles say they’re just tightening of the stomach and so forth but for some people they are actually painful or you can feel pain and major discomfort having them. So I think don’t really stress about it, if it’s real labour it will get worse and stronger as the day goes by or whatever. But if you really feel bothered by it, you should always go to your doctor and tell them how you’re feeling and ask them for a scan or something if that will ease your anxieties or however you’re feeling if you’re worried. As long as baby is still moving around like they normally do.

So I’ve experienced this thing called “lightning crotch” and the best way I can explain it is like shocks that are quick but very uncomfortable. And they aren’t consistent. Very different from a cramp since it’s not in my lower stomach area but definitely not a comfortable feeling at all.

Like your stomach is getting hard and someone is squeezing you. Also feels like period cramps, definitely have to take a deep breath when I’m having them, they make me feel like I can’t breathe sometimes
