Does your toddler wear a mask?

My doctor just told us that from her two year old check up on my baby girl has to wear a mask to appts. Any tips? It seems so young to try and get her to keep a mask on.

Unfortunately the pandemic isn’t over and the cdc recommends masks starting at age 2 since younger than that really isn’t possible. We wear ours a lot so my daughter is used to them and asks to wear one sometimes. We put it on “for fun” at home every once and a while. I haven’t bought her any for when she turns 2, but plan on having some for her. I think they understand that two years olds might not keep it on, but they like to be like us. If you’re wearing yours, your toddler is more likely to wear theirs. Do your best and hopefully they’ll be vaccinated soon and won’t need masks for extra protection!

Yea. He’s been wearing a mask on since the fall. Start by practicing at home.  That’s what I did with my 3 year old too. They both keep them on just fine.

Mine isn't two yet. And honestly unless someone makes us. She won't be wearing a mask. 
Like we do, but I think forcing a 2 year old to wear a mask is weird, especially when they will most likely remove it. 
My doctor hasn't mentioned mask wearing for kids hat young. So we'll see.

So since LO was about 6 months and sitting up very well, I can't even get her to wear a headband or bow or hair clips. There would be no way she'd wear a mask.

Two seems very young to me. Our doctor's office makes them wear masks over 3. I doubt my almost 2 year old is capable of wearing a mask. I can't even get him to wear a hat! My 3 year old won't wear one either but he is nonverbal autistic and they have made an exception for him. My 5 year old was 3 at the start of the pandemic and he's always been fine with wearing a mask.

Nope. I don’t make my three year old wear one either. The only place we’re suppose to wear masks is like doctors and other medical places. But they’re just too young anyway.
