Skipped period, now late

I’m on the combo pills, take them around the same time every day.

Last month I went to Florida and ‘skipped’ my period. Fast forward to this month, I finished my last pack of pills. I also made the decision to stop taking my pills completely as I’m switching to an IUD later this month. It’s been over a week since I took my last active pill and I still haven’t had any sign of a period. I had unprotected sex once before I went off to Florida.

Could a late/absent period be normal after skipping? Not too worried about being pregnant however I am taking a test in the morning :)
