controlling mother

So I’m getting married later this year, I bought a dress and it’s a very pretty dress but I wasn’t in love with it. I only chose it because my mom and grandma told me to. The dress had a small tear so I sent it back and was going to re-order again. Well they sold out of the dress before I could. So I started to look at other dresses. I found this very simple, long white dress with vintage like buttons going all down the back. Very sleek and modern. I like very simple things. I’m a very simple person and our wedding is going to be just as simple so I feel it fits perfectly. She told me right away to return it. That she liked the other one. She’s trying to convince me into other dresses. I told her I like this one. Every idea i come up with for the wedding my mother shuts down because it’s not boring and super outdated or tacky. I’m standing my ground reminding myself that it’s MY wedding and if I love the dress it’s what I’m getting married in. It’s just kind of annoying to deal with.
