Dad gave me Covid
I’m a teenager and this past Friday, I got home and my dad was staying away from us because he wasn’t feeling great. Now the rest of my family is super safe with Covid and my brother and I double mask at school. But my dad has become super lax after the mask mandated lifted, going into grocery stores and stuff with no mask. Anyways, he must of got covid from a lady at his work (his work is very small, only two other office workers, one of which is my mum, and the other has tested positive and has been working in a different section of the office. My mum stays away from her with mask but my dad walked all around the office without a mask). Anyway, his test result come back the next day (Saturday) as positive. And while he is still wearing a mask around the house, he didn’t stay in one room, he walked around everywhere! My mum now probably has it as she is very sick and ahe has stayed in her room but nooo my dad can’t quarantine himself. I’m in a very weird position because I can’t drive and can’t drive with parents because they have covid, and can’t drive with other’s because I’m a close contact. It’s Sunday night now and I’m feeling symptoms and I’m just so annoyed with my dad! Not only could he not be safe, he couldn’t even quarantine himself in his room like my mum. I am a serious swimmer and I have high school CIF this Wednesday and I have an A.P. test this Friday! And furthermore, I’ve been so careful this entire pandemic, I really didn’t want to get Covid ever. Imm embarrassed to tell people and this is dumb but I thought it would be cool to leave the pandemic never having Covid. I know I’m healthy and I’ll probably be okay, but I’ve read about long-term effects of Covid. I’m justified for being annoyed at my dad right?
