Acne treatments???

Hey all,

Here’s a little backstory, I have been on birth control for about 4 years now. I am on my third brand of it because the previous two were not working. The one that I am taking now is working though. The main reason for me being on it was to control my cycle, also help with my acne and hormonal balance. It has done a pretty good job at controlling all of those things.

Here’s my issue…. The week before my actual period and the week that I am on it, my face breaks out soo bad. It pretty much breaks out everywhere, there’s no specific spot. My face also gets really oily at this time too. But when it breaks out, the pimples are these like hard/bruise feeling pimples that seem to be deep down in my skin. I don’t pick at them, I only try to dry them out because they will leave scars. But they keep coming back, and I can still feel them under my skin, no matter how many times I try to dry it out. I have prescribed topical cream that I use along with a store brand (doctor recommended) cream to help dry them out. I also use those acne patches when there’s one that is on the verge of being popped. Those just suck all the stuff out so I don’t have to pop it.

Is there any tips that anyone has to try and control this?? I know I can just cover it with makeup and hope for the best, but I would really like to get it under control.
