Autism parents: sleep question

My little one is 3.

She has "slept through the night " maybe a handful of times in her life. Sleep trained in her crib at 8 months. She only sleeps in her crib. All the right things to promote bedtime (literally everything all of the experts say about bedtime. The calm quiet dark atmosphere, sound machine ect) all since she was 8 months old. She will fall asleep on her own ... eventually... and only a few hrs. Wakes up a lot. Not upset or anything. Nothing wrong. Just up. We'll go in and check her diaper and give her some water and tell her to go back to sleep. And she does... after 2-3 hrs. She doesn't cry or whine and she isn't sad or upset about being in her crib. She's just wide awake. As if she is done sleeping.... anyway, we've tried 4 weeks of melatonin. Did not make any difference at all. Her diet is super healthy due to her food allergies so she doesn't ever eat anything sugary and we don't watch TV in our house when she is awake. She is a super super active girl. She has adhd on top of autism. With her naps included and her 12 hrs of being in her bed at night, she only ever gets upto 10-11 hrs of sleep in a whole 24 hrs. She literally runs about jumps all day long. And gets way less sleep than is recommended for her age. I'm used to it at this point. I just know I will never sleep more than 3 hrs at a time anymore. I'm not even irritated with it anymore.

I'm just concerned about her. She never seems tired and is literally always super active which doesn't seem right for such a small child with not enough sleep.

I'm just wondering if any other parents with autistic toddlers have experienced the same thing?
