Fertile cm but negative ovulation test?

I’m day 15 or 16 in my cycle, i noticed i’m having fertile cm all day, I took an ovulation test and it was negative :( I read on the box that it detects a couple days before.. could it be that i tested too late but i’m currently ovulating? or how does this work?

You can have cm though out your cycle. It’s fertile so have sex but keep testing till positive 2 times a day between 11am and 8pm!

Fertile cm don’t mean you are ovulating or going to ovulate it means your cm is at the best stage for sprem to last or not last in.

It could be that you tested later than your ovulation or early. I would keep testing and see if it gets darker and if not this time around start testing earlier next month. Maybe around like cd 12 so that you can establish a pattern. Fertile cm can happen more than just the exact day of ovulation but also leading up to it and right after.
