Posterior placenta??

I totally forgot to ask my doctor but is there any complications with this ? I know you can feel the baby move sooner from what she told me. I looked it up and it said normally people with an A positive blood type have it and it causes preterm labor..mind you I've never had this..and she confirmed that.
This is my 4th pregnancy

Posterior placenta is just the normal location of the placenta, so nothing to worry about. It just means it’s located toward your back instead of your front. Anterior placenta (front) is also normal but not as common as posterior

It only mean it's in the back which is quite normal as the other said. Definitely nothing to worry about. Google will always try to kill you off if you look hard enough

You either have a posterior or anterior placenta, it's literally just the location of the placenta lol. I've had posterior with my last and this pregnancy, my son was born early but had nothing to do with the placenta, and I am O- blood type.

I’m with a high risk ob due to a heart condition I have. I found out I had a posterior placenta while talking to her. I believe she probably would have brought it to my attention if there was any issues of preterm labor because then I would be having my baby girl early which wouldn’t be good for really anyone. It’s hard on mom and baby having a preemie. The only thing that can cause a preterm labor that I have had recently is a uti. I know other stuff can cause preterm labor but that’s something I have been dealing with.

Posterior placenta just means it’s attached to the back wall, I have anterior placenta which is attached to the front wall and it sucks because I won’t feel baby til later I’m 17 weeks and still nothing
