A/C for baby’s room?

Would you put an A/C in your 9 months old room? It gets warm in there during the warmer months. He has a fan but I don’t face it on him. Or would you just have your baby sleep naked? Not sure how I can keep him cool throughout these next few months. I don’t have central air.

I would. During the dog days of summer the room could get very hot and even if baby sleeps in just a diaper they could be uncomfortable. Better to be able to control the climate without reguard of what the weather is doing.

We have a ceiling fan, a floor fan, and a/c on in just about every room. 24/7. Everyday of the year. And my kids/babies sleep in shorts and t shirts. Sometimes just tshirts. 
But I live in southern Louisiana so we only have two seasons; hot and hotter.

I would. We kept (and still do) our kids rooms between 68-72 degrees.

We live where ac is essential. Fans and ac are recommended for safe sleep. 
We keep the ac at 68-72 and the ceiling fans on. And then we dress her accordingly.

I would. I’m getting a portable unit for mine and baby’s room (we share a room). I have central air but my room is loft style, right above the garage and the highest point of the house, so it gets HOT despite having the air on.

I bought a window ac unit for baby's room due to having no AC. You can find them used if price would be a factor for you. I got a more expensive one from Amazon similar to the one I linked.

We have central AC so it's obviously in babys room as well & it's been fine.

Does the room stay hotter or cooler? If it stays on the hot side, I would definitely install a smaller AC unit or even look into evaporaters. We once lived in a house with no AC, and our baby's room stayed fairly cooler than rest of the rooms so we were able to turn the ceiling fan and call it good. He wore summer type pajamas and had his blanket.

We have window units only in my house and use the AC when the temp in his room goes over 72. We just made sure to place his crib as far from the AC as possible so it’s not directly on him. We don’t blast it, just enough to keep it at 72.

If there’s a chance it’s going to get warmer than 72 degrees, I’d do AC. If it’s not a comfortable temp, baby isn’t going to sleep well. If it’s too hot, the risk of SIDS is increased in younger babies. We try to keep my son’s room around 68 degrees and he sleeps in PJs and a sleep sack.
