First prenatal appt

Had 2 early dating scans last week and the week before. Today was my first ob appt to see my doctor, at 8 weeks 4 days and just left. 14. Yes 14!!! Tubes of blood they took. That was the usual parental bloodwork, plus some genetic stuff and my immunizations. I was shocked when I walked in the room and counted them. I asked the nurse is that all for me. She said yes but assured me that after this I shouldn’t need anything more than 1-2 tubes if they need bloodwork again. Holy smokes, I’m glad yesterday was arm day at the gym 🤣
