What are your plans for feeding baby??

In light of this formula shortage…. What are your plans?? I nursed my first for a year, it was not an easy road. When I went back to work at 3 months my baby would not take pumped milk so we had to combo feed. He got formula whenever I was away from him and I nursed whenever I was with him. At 8 months he stopped taking a bottle completely and wouldn’t take formula in any form. We worked closely with our pediatrician and I continued to nurse whenever I was with him. I was so desperate to get nutrition into him that I continued to nurse him through the night until he was about 15 months he would get up about 3-5 times a night. It was exhausting!!!

I thought with my second baby I would skip the whole mess of nursing and go straight to a bottle so we didn’t run into the same problems…. But now the formula shortage has me nervous and I’m thinking we will have to pray we are able to successfully nurse again.

What are you mommas planning to do?? Has the shortage made you rethink your plans?
