I’ve had my license for almost 8 years and I have NEVER been pulled over. Never been in an accident or ANYTHING

tonight I ran a red light because I underestimated how quickly it was going to turn red… usually the yellow light at the specific light I was at stayed yellow but it turned red like super fast tonight

The officer said I ran it so bad that the other light was green already

I feel so fucking stupid and I’m so mad at myself!!!! I’ve NEVER done this!!!!!

He was super nice and gave me a written warning because it was my first time ever being pulled over

I’ve been googling and I can’t find any answers though…. Does a written warning go on your record in Illinois??

Also are there any ways to get it off your record sooner than 3-5 years if it does go on your record???
