Is it possible to fall out of love for no reason at all?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been in a long distance relationship for 7 years now. We got engaged 3 years ago and we tried to get married each year since but due to Covid and personal reasons it hasn’t happened.
We are at the stage in our relationship where we are in a difficult place. We both lost our spark between us, finding it difficult to talk to one another, I’m finding it difficult to express how I feel to him or even when something good happens or even something bad I just don’t go to him. I’m terrible at flirting and I’ve always have been but he’s trying to ignite something but I just not into it. I don’t know why, I do think I’ve lost my way. There’s been so much grief between us that neither of us try to visit each other. He has money problems so he can’t afford to see me and I’ve stopped asking for us to meet because I know he hasn’t got money.
His younger sister lives with him in his one bedroom studio so there’s no privacy when we talk or even argue. She hears everything and I don’t want it feeding to anyone else. It is also the fact that he comes to me to vent and talk about his problems that I don’t even feel comfortable sharing what’s happening in my life because it’s nothing compared to him. Also when I try he doesn’t have time for me, he’ll either say he’ll call me back (which never happens and the next day arrives) or he isn’t really into listening to my conversation (I hear him watching video in the background or typing on the keyboard doing work).
I love him, I do, he’s my best friend and he’s all I know in a relationship. However, is it possible to lose love in someone? How do you know you no longer feel the same? Is it possible to just feel like they become more as friends then lovers? Am I just in a rough spot and being stupid?
