Weird period

My periods are usually heavy, sorry for the TMI, but I usually always have clots on the second day. Since it started it has been extremely light. I usually go through 4-5 tampons the second day and this month I only needed to change it once. I had no clots this month. I've had my period since I was 10 and I'm now 31 and every month it has been that way. Except if course when I was pregnant, unless we're counting my three miscarriages in it. I'm just so thrown by it. Yesterday I really didn't even need to wear a tampon but I did because I'm so used to having to. What reasons is there that my period was weird this month?
