Anyone else's 3 year old driving them nuts!?

Just need a vent session. We recently had our second baby, so I'm pretty sleep deprived. My husband works a lot so I'm home with both kids on days that my 3 yr old isn't in school (2days a week). I just feel so irritated all the time. I try the gentle parenting and distraction.  But I feel like it never works for my son. He just wines over and over about something he needs. Constantly demanding stuff. Having full on meltdowns. Screaming/crying at the top of his lungs when I'm holding baby and feeding him. I'm sure it's just his way of trying to get attention and he doesn't know how to communicate his needs any other way then to demand. I feel completely drained and annoyed at the end of the day and of course that makes me feel like a terrible mom. Any other mom's going through this?

I’m reading Oh Crap I have a toddler and it has helped so much but the biggest thing was earlier bedtime/nap, physical and mental play everyday and connection time with her and I. Love the book!!!

I had my son when my daughter was a little over two and she really was great up until recently. I’ve noticed a huge shift. She’s usually super outgoing and is now shy and whines anytime she sees my family or friends (usual people she sees often). She is whining ALL the time at home and demands things constantly. A tantrum usually follows when she doesn’t get it right away or the answer is no. I’m thinking this phase may be normal developmentally? Maybe at this age they are more aware socially and more aware of what they want and get upset when it’s not granted right away. 
I’m struggling right now too, but I will share that staying calm and consistency is super important and has helped! Stick to the boundaries you create and make sure you give lots of love/attention when you have the time and your new babe is settled for the moment. Oh also, it helped a lot in the beginning when I would include my daughter in helping with her baby brother. Simple things like helping to give a bottle, helping with the nighttime routine, helping to give a bath etc.

yes, yes and YES. My husband and I are SO EXHAUSTED. He just doesn’t stop whining and crying/tantrums. Over EVERY…LITTLE…THING. Wakes up in the middle of the night having a meltdown and takes forever to go back to sleep. Definitely trying my best to be patient and not let him see me get overwhelmed and just try to comfort him as much as I can. We got this Momma.

Yes! I had my second baby in January and my 3 year old has gotten much more whiny and demanding. She always decides she has to go potty or needs a drink or food or something as soon as I sit down to feed the baby. She screams when she doesn’t get her way, which is all the time. I try to give her focused playtime with me when the baby naps, but she just gets more mad and whiny and that time is over. She also goes to school 2 days a week and I think it’s good for her. I just think she’s just not getting enough stimulation at home. She’s very high energy. On days the weather is nice and we can get outside she does better, but it’s hard.
