Is it sad i wont be able to be on an airplane ? Nor traveling

So i live in California my whole life.. i only been to Washington and Oregon when i was Little..i don’t remember much.. well now that im older im 27 i want to travel but i cant because i have a fear of airplanes.. just this anxiety fear i watched too much movies and 9/11 so i can never.., but there are places that i wanna go too but probably wont … ill just stay in California til i die… lol😕 i wanna go to Mexico, canada & New York.. I also wanted to go to Las Vegas.. but all those places contain me to have to fly on an airplane 😫💔💔💔anyone else scared??? They will never go on a plane ever?

Phobias are really treatable with therapy and sometimes a bit of medication at the same time - there’s hope you an overcome this !!!

I have this same exact fear! My husband planned a trip to Italy for us in 2019 and I full out cried at the airport and had a full out panic attack on the plane as soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal. It was an awful experience, but we landed and returned just fine. After that we went to Disney World twice last year - January and again on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in September. We also have plans to return to Europe in the future. 
I. Hate. Flying. I judge and stare at people. I think of worse case scenarios. It’s not worth it. I did talk with my doctor and she prescribed me a low dosage of Xanax. It takes the edge off temporarily but I pop that suck as soon as I’m seated on the plane. 👌🏻 I also sit by the window so I have control over the shade and I shut that bad boy and pretend I’m on a train or a car ride. I found that sitting in the aisle gave me too much access to stare at people which I can imagine makes them feel VERY uncomfortable. The other thing I have is noise canceling head phones. Those are on my head as soon as I’m seated and I pack my carry on with crosswords, sudoku, and word searches. My phone has tv shows and movies downloaded. I keep myself preoccupied and if I feel a panic attack coming, I stop what I’m doing…close my eyes, and I practice box breathing. Might not work for everyone but it’s magically for me. It forces me to breathe normally and slow my heart rate down. 
If you can’t see yourself getting on a plane, you can look into road trips, cruises, trains. There are other ways to travel…just might take you longer.
My husband tells me not to live in fear. Fear can deprive you of opportunities and positivity. Looking back on our vacations and memories, I’m glad I got on the plane, and I’m proud of myself for overcoming something so challenging. It makes me feel like a bad ass and every plane ride is better than the last.

I can honestly say I too was traumatized watching 9/11 occur live on tv when I was a teen. I had been in planes when I was a child but since 9/11 I refuse to fly. The whole process is mentally exhausting and I would likely need to be heavily medicated to prevent panic attacks. But I still travel. Those places you want to visit aren’t even far from Cali, except maybe Newyork. You could drive. That’s how we travel. I wouldn’t be opposed to commuter trains either just haven’t had the opportunity to ride a train.

All those actions do not have to be on a plane. I almost went to Mexico from Cali actually (ran out of time) definitely look into it. Bring friends and go on road trips!!!

It’s not easy but still possible! I worked for a doctor who has never ever taken an airplane except once in his life ✈️ he refused to. 
He drove to every state for conferences and vacations even if it took him days to get there.
