Bleeding but line getting darker

On Friday, after feeling pregnancy symptoms, I took a test and it was a faint positive. The line got slightly darker on Saturday. Sunday, it got darker but I started spotting. Monday it got even darker but the bleeding and cramps picked up (about what a normal period wipe be). I prepared myself that this was an early loss and was okay with that. Tuesday, the test was significantly darker and bleeding and cramping are still going strong.

I'm having hcg and progesterone drawn tomorrow and Friday.

I'm just incredibly confused on what is happening. I should have called my doctor on Friday but the line was so faint I wasn't fully processing that a pregnancy would be happening.

Has anyone been through this?
