Dreft —MOMMAs what are y’all using to wash baby’s first clothes ?

Hi mommas 
I just washed baby girls clothes , anticipating her arrival — I washed them using DREFT -Newborn  . 
Then I decided to look into what’s in DREFT , because of the smell/fragrance (which was surprisingly strong .. anyway I found a few recalls online & bad reviews about skin breakouts , all baby’s are different . What are you all using to wash baby’s clothes?

Tide Free and Gentle. We use this for our adult clothing as well. Then we don’t need to separate baby clothes from ours, keep track of different detergents, or worry about scented products giving our son skin or respiratory irritation (my husband and I are both sensitive to events and I have sensitive skin, so he probably will too!)

I started out using Dreft and it was fine. My son did develop eczema so we have switched to All Free & Clear ever since but it didn't make a difference. His eczema is related to food allergies. I'd say use what you have and if your little one shows signs of irritation from it, switch to a free&clear one.

I use Molly Suds off Amazon for all of us! With my first I used dreft in the beginning until I looked into the ingredients and honestly have no idea how they sell and market it for babies! You have to choose what is best for you and what you can afford! Best of luck mama!

We use the detergent that we use for our own clothes. Never had a problem. We use xtra.
