I get that way as well with the getting stiff! Fingering does nothing for me either. Sometimes thinking too hard about it makes it take longer. Take deep breaths and try to relax and not overthink. When you think about it it’s not really about the clenched legs as much as it’s about your bum/pelvis being tight. That frees you up and you can tighten from lots of angles.
