Heartbeat ?

When did you hear your babies heartbeat for the first time ? 
I’m 14 weeks and I still can’t hear it .. 
i am plus size so that may be a reason also,just kinda worried as I heard most ladies can hear there baby at 12 weeks.

I heard it at like 7/8 weeks. I found it myself at around 14 weeks. I am also plus size so idk if that has an effect. I went to doc 7 weeks then an elective ultrasound at 8 weeks which was an abdominal and I was still able to hear and see baby.

It depends on many factors. Where you’re from, what kind of service you’re getting & how far along you are. 
I never heard it once on the NHS ultrasounds and I’m now 22 weeks, but I heard it for the first time when I had a trip to triage due to a bleed and they used a Doppler to find it. 
I then paid for a private 18 week scan where I heard his heartbeat on the scan, and at my 20 week anomaly appointment on the NHS they showed me his heartbeat but didn’t make it audible for me. 
If you’re in the US, it could be different, since I read about a lot of things that doctors and nurses do differently in the US (such as sharing hormone levels with the patient).
