I’m a minivan mom all the way, I have the Toyota Sienna and love it, we are having our second this summer, but we also have a 70 lb dog that goes with us a lot of places. My my has a Yukon XL and we actually have more seating capacity in the minivan than she does, although she has more cargo space behind her seats. I tend to leave my third row folded down most of the time it’s easier with strollers and groceries or whatever else we need to throw back there. I love the Sienna because it is also available with all wheel drive if you need it and now it is available in hybrid.

I pleaded my husband to buy 3 row suv when I was pregnant with our first  child but he liked the 2 row suv which we eventually agreed for him to get.  A year later I bought my 3 row suv. Now family of 4 ( 2kids) and big extended family. My husband now see why we need 3 rows and he appreciate my decision especially when we have family visiting us.

We have a 2-row hybrid SUV with two kids (2.5 year old, 2 month old) and it works great for most things. Unfortunately, we can’t put a car seat in the middle in the back, so a fifth passenger either squishes inbetween or it’s inaccessible. Trunk is spacious and sometimes fits two small to medium dogs.
Overall, I prefer the smaller 2-row vehicle (I actually like driving our compact sedan better 😂) and wish we could keep it, but we’re looking at having another kid in the next couple years and will need to upsize at that point.

Right now we have 2 two-row suvs. We are due with our second in November. With prices the way they are we are sticking with what we have but we do plan to upgrade one of the cars to a three-row. So if you can afford gas in three row I would do that

Even with a 3 row, we kept the third row down so we could fit all our equipment easily. The third row only goes up if we need the seating.

I’d rather have a two row typically for the better gas mileage. My SO is a big dude though and didn’t fit in the two two SUVs we tried so we ended up with a highlander which I love. It has captains chairs in the second row and we keep the 3rd row folded down. It’s way bigger than anything I ever thought I’d get though.
