First time doing IVF…

So a little back story. My husband and I have been together a total of 8 years (married for 4) but we started trying around our 2 year mark of being together. We’ve tried medicated cycles with timed intercourse (6 cycles), and we tried 2 IUI cycles (which failed).

A lot has happened in between all of these cycles and attempts I.e. wedding, school/graduation, starting a new career, finding a cancerous mass in my uterus and having to do treatment for 6 months (this was before our IUI (cycles) and Moving to a new area/buying a new house.

Due to the mass that was found (and treated) and our ages (we are both 33; 34 in November) we decided to skip our 3rd round of IUI and go straight to IVF. Luckily my new insurance through my employer helps cover some of the costs which is also why we choice to just go with IVF.

We have our consultation June 15th which is next week and we have no idea what goes on during that consult or what questions we should ask. We also have no clue how this process goes and what happens within the first month or how long it takes from consult to transfer.. is it going to take 1-2 months or 6? Any advice would be greatly appreciated especially when it comes to the consult and what questions to ask. 💖
