First ovarian cyst so painful so many questions help!!!

I had excruciating lower abdomen pain for 5 days after ovulation… I have ibs D so I put off going to see someone assuming it was just a bad flare up. On day 6 I couldn’t bare it anymore .. I called the gyno but they have nothing for over a month.. the near by emergency room found that I have a bad case of bv and a 2 cm in diameter hemorrhagic blood filled cyst inside of my right ovary…. This is the pits.. I’m now on day 7 of this. Any recommendations on pain control? Is the cyst inside the ovary worse then a cyst on the outside of the ovary ? Should it resolve ? How often should I go get it rechecked? I’m so lost and in pain ☹️
