Attached 4 year old

Hi guys,

I know I posted about this a while back but it’s gotten worse and I’m lost. My almost 4 year old is SO attached to my husband. Within the last 2 months it’s gotten bad. If he leaves the room, she’s constantly asking where he is. The other day he was in the bathroom and locked the door and she LOST it because she couldn’t get in and no amount of explaining to her why he was in there worked. She would bang in the door, scream and cry. He leaves for work and she has a total meltdown several times throughout the day, like massive crying/screaming for an hour saying “I miss daddy I want daddy I want daddy to come home”. Nothing has changed with his work and if anything he works less than he used to!

We thought it might be her thinking she wasn’t getting enough attention which is why she’s been acting out. We have 3 kids all together, with her being the oldest so time is definitely split (youngest being 5 months old) but we give her alone time with one of us as much as we can but it’s really only an obsession with my husband. We probably pay attention to her more than the other kids to be honest and she gets more alone time/trips than the others. Her sleep is affected by it too when she knows he’s home vs working overnight.

Anyone gone through something similar?
