1st Period while breastfeeding

So I'm starting what will be my first period after birth. I had to have a c-section and I had to have a t-cut incision so no VBAC possible and it's super important that I let my body heal fully before considering another pregnancy so I decided to get on birth control. I decided on the pill since I'm breastfeeding. I'm just wondering what you ladies do for your cramps? Should I expect anything crazy/different? Any tips? I haven't been on birth control in over 15 years and I had my baby only 10 weeks ago
