me (22) and my bf (24) have been apartment hunting.. we’re pregnant with our first due july 11 and our budget is no more than 1000 currently in pennsylvania. we looked at a one bedroom newly renovated on the second floor for 975 a month. the landlord was very stand offish though, he let us see the place and was there but he didn’t say much and was sorta not inviting. it made me think maybe he would easily let us in because he only wants first and security deposit but does anyone have a really weird quiet landlord ? definitely wasn’t a warm first impression and i feel like i had to ask questions more than what he was willing to tell us.. but we want to get out of our toxic situation asap so we may consider. any advice thanks.
