Spotting …when to test?

Hi ladies! I have had some spotting only when I wipe over the last 3 days. No more than this each time it occurs. I have PCOS and irregular cycles so hard to say how many dpo but I’m suspecting around 8dpo. So far tests have been bfn. How soon would a bfp typically show up?
