I don't think these rights are in any immediate danger here in the UK, but we should never take them for granted as society and law are more changeable than we often realise.
Does anyone think the Roe V. Wade case will have any impact over here?
I'm sure we've all seen on the news (and on this app) that legal abortion was ended as a constituational right on Friday in America. U.S states now have the ability to outlaw it, which many have already chosen to do. The next things on the list of issues are womens rights to contraception and same sex marriages.
I'd like to think that the U.K. is so much more progressive than this and we would never take these rights away for people. However, do you think there will be any other implications over here? Maybe more people from the u.s. trying to immigrate here? Pro life protesters making a stance and casing trouble?
