Anyone else struggle with subtle differences in color?

So, I bought a house a few years back and I had to completely gut it and redo EVERYTHING! And I realized when I started picking out the perfect colors… that I really can’t tell the difference between cool gray and purple! I now have multiple light purple rooms in my house 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s all about the lighting. Colors change in different lighting.

Greys and whites are tough, you really have to see them in different lightings and against other hues to pick up the undertones. It happened to me with what was supposed to be white with a tiny hint of vanilla, once up it looked very yellow/beige. The house next door to us, they did their exterior grey/silver, but most of the day with the sun it looks very baby blue (I actually think it's a cool color though). If you hate it, it's worth the repaint to be happy.

I have trouble with blues and greens. Unless they are very different, they look the same to me, especially when you get into teal and others like that.

SAME!!! We just painted the whole house and I’m getting purple vibes from living/kitchen/dining areas 😭 we have an accent wall with a dark gray (what I wanted) an now I’m contemplating repainting the rooms, to get that true light gray vibe! So much work 😞
